Meet at the mural on Hazen Avenue to send off our reigning 2A State Quiz Bowl Champions as they compete for the 2026 State Title this Saturday, April 25!
We’ll gather at 11:30 a.m., and the team is expected to pass by at approximately 11:45.

Our end-of-year ATLAS assessments are quickly approaching! Please review the attached letter from our administrators outlining our district’s plan for testing. Football parent meeting announcement!
There will be a meeting on May 5 at 6 in the gym for parents of all students entering grades 7-12 who are interested in playing football next year.

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (4/22), there will be a high school PTO meeting in the library at 5:30. There will also be a Booster Club meeting in the Cadence Community Room at 6:00.
The Arkansas State Police shared safety tips with our kindergarten students—and brought some special guests! We want to thank them for taking the time to invest in our students and help keep our community—and state—safe.
The HHS baseball team will play in Des Arc on Thursday at 4:30. The Clarendon game has been canceled.
Ember Smith, 4th grade student at HES, is the STATE winner of Arkansas’s 2026 Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest! She is now in the running for a national prize! Help us congratulate her and wish her well at this next level in the competition!

Gabrielle plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas to pursue a degree in radiology, followed by Baptist Health College Little Rock to become an X-ray technician. She hopes to eventually work as a travel X-ray tech.
Yesterday was Gabrielle’s birthday, so we’re not only celebrating her accomplishments—we’re also wishing her a very happy birthday!
