2026 yearbooks can be picked up at the house across from the high school entrance. A limited number of extra yearbooks are available for $60, and a few Revive the Hive yard signs remain for $20. We accept checks or exact cash. Thank you!

The Hazen School District Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Hazen High School Library.

In addition to treating HSD teachers and staff to a wonderful lunch on their first day back, the Hazen Methodist Church also made a generous donation of school supplies for our students. We are so grateful for their continued support of the Hazen School District!

A huge thank you to Calvary Baptist Church for treating the Hazen School District to the wonderful taco salad luncheon with Sasa’s famous salsa. It’s a tradition we all look forward to each year, and we truly appreciate your generosity and support!

Welcome Back, HSD Teachers and Staff! The Hazen School District welcomed all teachers and staff back to campus this morning as we kicked off a new school year! We enjoyed a delicious sausage and biscuit breakfast provided by Farm Bureau and a wonderful BBQ lunch served by Hazen Methodist Church. The BBQ was excellent, and the homemade desserts were certainly a crowd favorite! Superintendent Mr. Barrett shared district updates during his welcome address, while Construction Superintendent Kay Spence outlined the plans in place to keep students and staff safe throughout the ongoing construction projects. Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Saranie introduced our new staff members, and Ms. Lisa Prince surprised employees with retention bonus checks. We’re excited for a great week ahead! Join us tonight, Monday, August 3, for 7th Grade Orientation at 5:30 p.m. in the gym, and don’t forget Open House for all grades on Thursday, August 6, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. Here’s to an amazing 2026–2027 school year! 💜 #hornetpride #revivethehive

Hazen School District Open House

We can't wait to welcome our Hornets back! Join us for Open House for Pre-K through 12th grade on Thursday, August 6, from 2:00-6:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and get ready for an exciting new school year!

2026 Yearbooks will also be available for pickup in the gym lobby during Open House.

HHS will host a 7th Grade Orientation on Monday, August 3, at 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Students will have the opportunity to pick up their schedules, tour the school, and ask questions before Open House on Thursday, August 6.

Final Reminder: Sports Photography Day – Tuesday, July 21

On July 21, 2026, we will take football and cheer team pictures on the football field at 8:30 a.m. and then move to the gym for individual portraits. Seniors who want to take pictures for multisport banners will need to bring their additional jerseys/props to the gym for pictures.

Additional Sports Photography Information

To make our July Sports Photography Day as efficient as possible, girls' basketball team and individual photos have been scheduled for Monday, October 19, a day when students are not in school.

Baseball, softball, and boys' basketball team and individual photos will be scheduled for December or January. This timing ensures that all spring sports teams are included in the 2026-2027 spring yearbook.

Additional details and schedules for these photo sessions will be shared as the dates approach.

Hazen Hornets Athletics will host a FREE Peewee Football Camp for 5th- and 6th-grade students on Tuesday, July 28, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. 🏈💜
